  1. ABOUT THE TZX SUPPORT

  3. Currently, the support for TZX files is incomplete, in the sense it only
  4. supports the most common tape blocks. The current implementation should
  5. allow to load the 99% of the games, including a lot with specific load
  6. routines (like Turbo).

  8. I didn't add that blocks because I was able to find only a limited number of
  9. TZX with estrange load protections, so I preferred to add only blocks that I can test
  10. myself.

  12. If you try to load a TZX file that contains an unsuported block, FBZX will show
  13. you a message "Unsuported TZX. Contact FBZX autor". In that case, please,
  14. send me by e-mail that TZX file in order to implement that new block kind in
  15. the TZX loader.

  18. PROBLEMS WITH SPEEDLOCK-2

  20. The current implementation of TZX allows to load SPEEDLOCK-protected games.
  21. Unfortunately, there seems to be a problem with the Z80 emulator itself
  22. (maybe the emulation of the R register), and the spectrum resets after loading
  23. the first or second blocks. I improved the R emulation in version 1.2 to try to
  24. fix this, but still fails, so, until I find what's happening, use TAP or Z80
  25. versions of that games.

  27. Other kind of TURBO protections (like Alkatraz, the one used in Fairlight, or
  28. the original SpeedLock) should work fine.
